1. Distribute Kings: WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

DJ Symphony: I'm from the east coast. Dirty Jerz to be exact.

2. Distribute Kings: HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING MUSIC?

DJ Symphony: Been a DJ & music producer for over 25 years. I guess I can say I seen all levels of Hip-Hop music fro the 80s to the new millennium.

3. Distribute Kings: WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO DO MUSIC?

DJ Symphony: I was never really good at anything else. I tried Baseball, Football, Boxing & then discovered Djing through my brother DJ Kashief. It was something about putting 2 records together that was a challenge to me. After that i was hooked on the music & practicing everyday.

4. Distribute Kings: WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST & WHY?

DJ Symphony: 50 Cent because of his hustle. I try to mimic his business moves. I also love his music. Dude is a straight up beast. It's rare to see African Americans make it out of where we come from & consistently have a good business run like he has.

5.  Distribute Kings: WHO WOULD YOU LOVE TO DO A COLLAB WITH?

DJ Symphony: I have always wanted to do a song with a you move. jazz band called The Yellow Jackets. These guys are incredible. Would love for them to play the Piano & Horns over one of my beats.

6. Distribute Kings: WHAT WAS THE NAME OF YOUR FIRST SONG?

DJ Symphony: The first studio track that I ever recorded was with Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan. The song was called Heart Of Fire. It was a sample I used from Earth Wind & Fire. Did really well.

7. Distribute Kings: WOULD YOU RATHER BE A INDEPENDENT OR MAINSTREAM ARTIST & WHY?

DJ Symphony: I'm going to stay independent. Main stream record labels have way to much control over what you do and how they want you to move. I'm way to smart now to fall for the sign with me i'm going to make you a star routine.

8. Distribute Kings: NAME 1 MUSIC ARTIST THAT YOU WOULD BRING BACK FROM THE DEAD & WHY?

DJ Symphony: I would bring back Whitney Houston so I could hear her sing I Will Always Love You one more time. That's one of the greatest songs ever created.

9. Distribute Kings: HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE A DISTRIBUTE KINGS PLATINUM ARTIST?

DJ Symphony: It actually feels pretty good. I earned 5 of your platinum plaques so far. I have them all hanging in my home studio. I think it's a good platform for indie artist. No one else is helping music artist get to the next level. Keep doing what you are doing and I hope to see Distribute Kings take off.

Distribute Kings exclusive interview with Cignaga. 1 Million Downloads for song titled "Ultimate Showdown" On The Wu-Invasion World Edition Vol.2

1. Distribute Kings: WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

Cignaga:  I'm from Downey, California.

2. Distribute Kings: HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING MUSIC?

Cignaga: I've been doing music for about 15 years now.

3. Distribute Kings: WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO DO MUSIC?

Cignaga: I was 13 years old in middle school when I suddenly saw a small crowd of people huddling around two other kids rapping. It was the very first time I have ever seen a "flowing session." I don't remember if they were dope or not, it didn't matter because I was digging the attention and reactions they were getting! Whenever they move the crowd would move with them. I was simply amazed by the fact that they knew how to rap and create rhymes off the top of their heads! The purity of that experience was dope and it stuck with me. From that day forward I knew that I had to be apart of hip-hop.

4. Distribute Kings: WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST & WHY?

Cignaga: I would honestly have to go with Elzhi. His rhyme patterns, delivery and articulation is highly dominant, prolific and fully expressive. His songs is a case study that has to be heard multiple times before you fully understand his subjects. I really enjoy his music and drew heavy inspiration using a few of his advanced techniques respectfully.

5.  Distribute Kings: WHO WOULD YOU LOVE TO DO A COLLAB WITH?

Cignaga:  I would love to collab with Apollo Brown. I feel that his productions expand your mind and your potential as an artist on a personal level. Every beat he drops is an instant jewel and he also brings a deep soulful element and a vast knowledge of old cinema, television shows and oldies music. It's so dope how he blends it all together!

6. Distribute Kings: WHAT WAS THE NAME OF YOUR FIRST SONG?

Cignaga: My very first song was recorded on a dual cassette kareokee machine back in 1998. I used an instrumental from Naughty By Nature called "The Hood Comes First." That song of coarse isn't on record and instead an embarrasing confession! (Laughingly.) What I actually consider to be my first song is named "Epidemic" which is the leading song on my first studio album "Full Fledge."

7. Distribute Kings: WOULD YOU RATHER BE A INDEPENDENT OR MAINSTREAM ARTIST & WHY?

Cignaga: I would rather be a independent artist because I love the underground fanbase in hip-hop. They really appreciate the craft and expect a certain level of skill sets that appeals to them in my opinion. Listeners crave music that is different and unique. And by being an independent artist I feel that I can bless those ears and offer a different listening experience.

8. Distribute Kings: NAME 1 MUSIC ARTIST THAT YOU WOULD BRING BACK FROM THE DEAD & WHY?

Cignaga: Off top it would be J Dilla. I remember having tears the very first time I heard Slum Villages' song "Get Dis Money." At the time I've never heard a production quite like that or a coarse being sung like that! It gave me chills and I was overwhelmed with this very intense adrenaline and could not belive what I was hearing! Dilla is a legend who I wish I had the opportunity to work with. And it's incredable that his music still lives on in the heats of many still to this day. - R.I.P.

9. Distribute Kings: HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE A DISTRIBUTE KINGS PLATINUM ARTIST?

Cignaga: I want to take this chance to thank my friends and family who supported me over the years who has helped me reach this point. They believed in me more than I believed in myself. This feeling simply is highly amazing and it is truly an honor! Much respect to Distribute Kings and shout out DJ Symphony and his on going success. This plaque is a great reminder that my efforts are now solidified and to never give up on my dreams and embrace patience, balance and growth. Since I still have a long way to go it's easy to continuously think about where you feel you should be but that's discouraging. As cliche as it may sound it will always be about the journey!
